Founded in 1978,UGG was the brainchild of a young Australian surfer. By the mid-1980s,the UGG brand was well-known in southern California surf shops. UGG entered the New York fashion world in the early 2000s,introducing boots and slippers. A retail store in Soho began UGG's entrance into the brick-and-mortar business,and the company eventually expanded to stores in Japan,China,and London. By 2012,UGG for Men opened its first store in New York. Today,the retailer sells boots,sneakers,loafers,and a wide variety of other footwear,as well as some home decor items,through its stores and the website online.
